As we scale our business, we are looking for a strategic, hands-on finance manager to join our leadership team and help guide us through our next phase of growth. 

Job Overview:

We are looking for a head of finance. In this position you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, providing strategic guidance to the leadership team, and helping shape the financial future of the business. You’ll play a key role in scaling operations, optimizing financial processes, and ensuring the financial health of the organization. This role requires a strong mix of technical financial expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills. 

The role reports to the CEO.

​Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning: 

  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals.
  • Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to optimize resource allocation.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on funding, pricing models, and cost management.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate and ,timely financial reporting and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and performance reports.
  • Develop financial models to support business decision-making and scenario planning.

Cash Flow Management & Capital Allocation:

  • Manage cash flow, financial liquidity, and working capital to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the company’s financial risk management strategy, including hedging, insurance, and financing
    arrangements.
  • Lead efforts in fundraising, including investor relations, due diligence, and managing investor communications.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Build, lead, and mentor the finance and accounting team to foster a high-performing and collaborative environment.
  • Provide financial training and guidance to non-financial team members across the organization.

Investor Relations:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for investors, including providing updates on financial performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in preparing investor presentations, pitches, and quarterly financial updates.

Operational Efficiency & Cost Optimization:

  • Identify areas for financial process improvements and implement systems that streamline operations.
  • Monitor KPIs, cost structures, and margins to ensure financial health and profitability.


Requirements:


  • Proven experience in finance or equivalent role, ideally in a high-growth startup, consumer package goods, retail,
    pharmaceutical, consulting, banking, or similar fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial planning, accounting principles, and business operations.
  • Hands-on experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and strategic financial planning.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • A strategic, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate the challenges of a growing startup.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Bonus

  • Experience in fundraising, including working with venture capital and/or private equity investors is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of financial software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero) is a plus.
